Meta Data Guide

The purpose of the Know Your Tumor Meta Data Guide is to provide SPARK end-users with information and guidance meta data tables and their descriptions. All of the files below are available in .csv file format.

Data Table NameDescription
onco_meta_analysisThis table contains processing metadata related to analyses. An analysis refers to running a series of bioinformatic workflows which generate primary and derived data that can be reliably used together. Analyses dictate the series of workflows and pipelines used and therefore the dry-lab processing.
onco_meta_biospecimenThis table contains processing metadata related to biospecimens. A biospecimen is the original physical tissue or material collected from a patient. Additional samples and data can be generated for the same biospecimen, especially in the case of FFPE tissue.
onco_meta_isolateThis table contains processing metadata related to isolates. An isolate is a portion of a sample intended to be interrogated by molecular assays, specifically related to the molecules which are actually sequenced, post library prep. Isolates are created based on the given assay which defines the wet-lab processing. Data generated from isolates are used to start analyses, marking the transition from wet-lab to dry-lab processing. Multiple analyses can be created from one isolate
onco_meta_sampleThis table contains processing metadata related to samples. A sample is a fraction or the totality of a biospecimen received by Tempus
onco_meta_slide_scanThis table contains processing metadata related to slides that have been scanned. It combines metadata from both scan and slide meta tables to make an easier-to-use table for slides which have been scanned
onco_meta_workflowThis table contains processing metadata related to workflows. A workflow is an instance of running a particular bioinformatics pipeline.
onco_reported_third_party_overview_markerStores data that was reported to a clinician from a molecular test (NGS, PCR, IHC or FISH performed by a provider (i.e., not Tempus)
